Leicester City hosts Wolverhampton
Leicester City hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers in a game from the 2nd round of the English Premier League. Let’s see what’s going on with these two teams after the first round of the league being played. Leicester didn’t have a positive start of the new campaign. The Foxes travelled to the Old Trafford to face Manchester United but suffered a 1-2 defeat by the Red Devils. Jamie Vardy’s goal was not enough for Claude Puel’s team, which came short against Jose Mourinho’s boys. During the summer Leicester managed to keep the internationals Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire in the squad but lost Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City. Surely the Algerian is going to be missed because he was probably the team’s best player. It remains to be seen how the Foxes are going to adapt to a life without Mahrez, who was an influential figure of the team. The newcomer Wolverhampton won a point in its first game in the Premier League after the return. Nuno Santo’s team made a 2-2 draw against Everton at the Molineux. Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez scored for the Wolves, but it was not enough for a win. Everton played with 10 men because of Phil Jagielka’s red card, but Wolverhampton was not able to push enough for the win with a man more on the pitch. After the defeat at the Old Trafford, Leicester is going to be hungry for points. For the Foxes this is going to be a first home game for the new season, so we shall expect to see Claude Puel’s boys hungry for the three points. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton would be happy with any result here, which is different from a loss. We suggest that even the draw would be a good result for the Wolves and they are going to be happy with this.
