Chievo hosts Inter
Chievo is 16th in the Serie A with 31 points. The Flying Donkeys have a record of 7 wins, 10 draws and 16 defeats. In their last five matches, Chievo won just once, made three draws and lost once as well.
They still can’t feel completely safe. Right now Chievo is on just 3 points ahead of the 18th Crotone, so they are not safe from relegation just yet. They still need to win some more points in order to ensure their survival. But it’s going to be difficult against Inter.
Inter, on the other hand, continue their fight for a Top 4 finish and return to the Champions League. Right now the Nerrazuri are 5th in the Calcio with 63 points, being on just one point behind Roma and Lazio. As you can see, these three teams are going to have a really intense fight between them until the end of the season.
So far Inter has a record of 17 wins, 12 draws and 4 defeats. In their last five games, Inter won twice, made two draws and lost once. In the previous round, Luciano Spalletti’s boys enjoyed an attractive 4-0 win against Cagliari at the San Siro.
It’s been awhile since Inter played in the Champions League for the last time. The Nerrazuri are a huge club, so it’s strange to see them out of Europe’s best competition. Can they return to the CL this season? For sure a win against Chievo in Verona would help their cause.
